Quick, Yummy & Delicious! #HeatTearEat

Image
I received the Pace Cheesy Chicken Quesadilla from BzzAgent to try for free in exchange for an honest review. First off, I love that it is shelf stable.  This is handy for keeping in your desk at work.  Then when lunchtime hits, you grab it out & pop it in the microwave.  Plus it only takes 1 minute to heat up.  There are areas on the packaging that don't heat up.  So you don't have to worry about burning yourself when you take it out of the microwave. You can eat it straight from the package.  However, as you can see, I used it in a wrap & made a burrito out of it.  The wraps I had were oversized.  The amount in the package was more than would fill one wrap, but seems skimpy on two wraps like I had done. I really loved the flavor of it.  There was just enough kick of heat to it that it didn't punch you in the face, but you still got enough to really enjoy the flavor. I had been worried that the food would heat up enough in the one minute it was in

Broken Dolls

Description Ella doesn't remember what it's like to be human; after all, she's lived as a doll for thirty years. She forgets what it's like to taste, to breathe...to love. She watches the professor create other dolls, but they don't seem to hang around for long. His most recent creation is Lisa, a sly goth. Ella doesn't like Lisa. How could she, when Lisa keeps trying to destroy her? Ella likes the professor's granddaughter though, even if she is dying. It's too bad the professor wants to turn Gabby into a doll, depriving her of an education...depriving her of life. With time running out and mad dolls on the rampage, Ella questions her very existence as she unearths the secrets buried in her past; secrets that will decide whether Gabby will befall the same fate...   Review So I just finished reading Broken Dolls.  I hadn’t heard of this author previously.  She had only written one book prior to this one and that was a few years ago.

Image
Book Description A 90-day devotional for 9-12 year olds that explores over one hundred Bible passages in which angels make an appearance, helping teen and tween readers separate between fact and fiction. Guardian angels. Divine messengers. Fiery spirits. Winged cherubim. The realm where these beings live is invisible. Most of the time, so are the angels themselves. Are they real? What do we really know about them? Angels: A 90-Day Devotional About God’s Messengers explores over one hundred Bible passages in which angels make an appearance. In addition, there are questions and answers, an exploration of myths and truths, hymns, Bible story retellings, pop culture references, and trivia that help readers sort fact from fiction. Through biblical scholarship aimed at ages nine and up, readers will have a better idea of what angels are and how God uses them as part of his heavenly kingdom—as well as gain understanding of God’s intent for us here on earth.   Review This was a

Hemp Hearts

Image
As part of a healthier start to the new year, we tried hemp hearts.  I only received a small sample of them.  So I got to have one try.  I absolutely loved the hemp hearts that I received.  I only had a chance to try them one way though.  I sprinkled them on salads.  They gave a nice crunch to the salad.  The taste was light and pleasant.  Almost nutty in flavor.  I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I ate them.  I am definitely glad I tried them.  We will be buying more. Disclaimer:  I received this sample free from swaggable in exchange for an honest review.  I did not receive any form of compensation.
