Today wasn't too bad.  We could have gotten out at a great time, but MRI was pretty far behind.  She didn't take the 6:20pm patient back until 7:15pm.  So that didn't let us leave until shortly after 8pm.  The patients were all rather nice today.  Usually we get at least a few crabby ones.  Not today though.  I am so glad, I was really not in the mood to deal with anything.  Dr. H had made a point of coming up to the front desk to ask how I was feeling.  He had read my CT from the other day.  I told him that I was still hurting and feeling crappy.  I made a point of eating soup yesterday to help ease up on my intestines.  I figured that if I ate soup, it would be easier to digest. Time to head home.  I can't wait!  I got the invite to beta Pirates of the Burning Sea finally.  Now I have to patch it.  I had played a bit during the server load test.  However, I really couldn't stay connected because of the lag.  Hopefully, it will be better now since it is open

Well, I have spent quite of bit of time in Kunark lately. EQ2 is interesting again. At least until I reach 80 and get bored again. Krystae and I were running around in Kylong Plains today. We did a few quests there. Then we decided to get adventurous. We started running through some of the high end zones just to see what they looked like. We had to be really careful in some spots. We were able to invis through most of it, but there were some mobs that could see through invis. Yesterday I didn't play EQ2 at all. Instead, I was playing Vanguard. Krystae kept telling me how much it sucked. So even though I had gotten it, I just never got around to playing it. I think its a pretty decent game. Its not as bad as she says it is. I think that she is used to the class designations of EQ1 & EQ2 so she doesn't like this game. The Warden in Vanguard is much different then what she is used to. I am glad that I gave it a try. I very rarely post videos on my blog. However, being a gaming geek that I am, I just can't help posting this one. I stumbled across this video on Liveleak. If you like video games, then you will love this. Its awesome listening to the songs and then figuring out which games they go to. Plus watch the band carefully.

Today the expansion for Everquest 2 goes live. I can't wait. I already know how great it is since I was in Beta testing. I can't wait to make my Sarnak for real. I had made a Sarnak named Tarmeya for beta. I will probably use the same name again. I really had liked the way she turned out. Its sort of sad though. Krystae is still in the hospital. So she isn't home for the launch. I just checked the website. They just announced that it will be an hour longer then they originally planned. I might as well go play something else in the mean time.

Right now I am reading an omnibus of short stories that were written in the 70s/80s. If you are into off color humor and tons of puns, then this is definitely the book for you. It is hard to put down. The short stories were all originally written for magazines. There was a computer game that was made way back when (and yes I had played it before). Speaking of computer games, I was asked the other day why I play some of the games I do and what my playing style was. Well, one of the reasons I play MMOs is because of the people you can meet and also the storylines. Yea I know that sounds corny, but I think of them as interactive books. I love to finish quests and see what's next. My friend Krysta on the other hand is all about the gear and levelling. I could care less what gear I have on and I could care less about level. I just want to be able to continue with the story. I guess that is why games that require too much grinding in between quests bore me way too quickly.

Well, I finally got around to patching the EQ2 test server again. I haven't been on it in ages. I think the last time I was on test was before EOF went live. Anyway, there are a ton of new things that I am really excited about. All of you altoholics will be very happy. My friend Krystae is already salivating. There is a new playable race coming out in the next live update. It is called the Arasai. I made one on test. This is essentially the evil fae. I put a pic up in my albums of the Arasai that I created. Along with the new playable race is a new starting zone and new housing zone. The starter zone is Darklight Woods. It has connections to Commonlands, Nektulos Forest, and Neriak. Neriak has been revamped. On the way from Darklight Woods, you pass over a chasm, if you look down in the chasm, deep down, you will see Naggy. Apparently he is now someone's pet. So I feel like crap again today. I can barely breath. Caroll was after me to get a chext x-ray the other day. I couldn't be bothered. Now I wish I had. Oh well. Too late now. I stayed home yesterday and today. Hopefully, I will feel better by Monday. Last night Zorah told us in guild chat that the new expansion is called Rise of Kunark. I did a little checking around. I found the same thing mentioned on Warcry. Anyway, after a quick search of the US Patent & Trademark website, I can say that yes, SOE has trademarked the name. They have not announced when the expansion will be yet though.

Well, I got an invite to play a game called Dungeon Runners . It is a strange little game published by NCSoft. The names of items and descriptions of traits are off the wall. The game play is pretty basic. I am not sure how I feel about it yet, but I am probably going to play it for a while to check it out. At this point in time, you can only play it by getting an invite directly from NCSoft or from someone already in game. There are two ways you can play. You can play for free or get a $5 per month membership. By having the membership, you have access to the bank, you can use elite items, etc. The highest level is 100. It will take forever to get there. Downside is you can only play a human and there are only 3 classes. I am hoping as the game is developed more, that they will bring out more classes.

I have become really bored with all the games that I have been playing. I really need something new!! EQ2's Erolisi Marr day is a total snooze fest this year. The quest was over in a few seconds. The heart grab thing they have going on in Antonica is totally retarded. I just can't be bothered. I am bored with the quests. The guild I am in is really nice. I like the majority of the people in it. I am just really bored with the game. I know that I haven't hit 70 yet, but I am only a few bubs from ding anyway. So its not like it is a major difference. CoH/CoV is an ok game. They do have some interesting things in the game. I am just so sick of ninja invites. Geez!! Would it hurt them to at least see if I am looking for a group? The Pocket D valentine event is a repeat of last year. There are different rewards, but I am not really interested in getting costume pieces with hearts on them. Bleh!! For ages, I have been reading an online comic called " Penny Arcade " about these gamers. Those who are gamers or who are friends of gamers will fully understand these comics. Anyway, the creators of this comic felt that as gamers, we are always being slighted in the media for the cause of many problems. They decided to create a charity to help children. This charity is really great. Its called Child's Play . They utilize Amazon to send items that are purchased to various children's hospitals for the holidays. Even if you aren't a gamer, this is a great charity to get involved with.

OMG! Last night was so fun! Krystae & I decided to single handedly do the Changing of the Guards. That was totally insane. We were the majority of the way up the tower when all hell broke loose. For some reason, it seems all the rest of the guards in the tower decided to come & join in the fun. So we were swarmed by them. It caused us to die really, really quickly. It was so much fun though. The only thing that I can think of is that maybe the pet I was using as an area of effect spell that aggroed everything in the tower. I was insane!! I loved every minute of it. I haven't started the Brell day quests yet. Krystae was saying that it was crazy. Some drunk was singing his own wacked out version of the milkshake song! I can't wait until I see that! I got my bed yesterday. I spent part of last night taking the old one apart. When I get home from work today I am going to put the new one together. This is going to be so great!! Well, Krys just got her new computer yesterday. She is still trying to get everything set back up on it & configured that way that she likes it. I just can't wait until she can get back into EQ2. It sucks that SOE messed the game up so that no one with Win98 or WinME can log in. They keep saying that they are trying to fix it, but it has been a few weeks now. That is just insane. I ordered my new cell phone. I should have it on Tuesday. I found out that it was cheaper for me to order over the internet then to go to the store. I wasn't even charged shipping and handling. I am saving about $60. Plus there is a $20 rebate once I get the phone. So that is a HUGE savings. The choice was for a new cell phone & get rid of the crap I have or an additional RAM chip for my puter. I decided that the cell phone was the more important of the two. I can't wait. Grr!! This was a really productive weekend for me. First off, I have been majorally cleaning out the stuff in my room. My sister Brenda hauled off tons of books that I wanted to get rid of. I am getting a new bed. So while I was cleaning to take the old one out, I decided to just give my entire room a major overhaul. The mattress is getting delivered today. Unfortunately, the bed is coming a little later. Now, my main part of the weekend was spent playing EQ2. Krys & I had a lot of fun this weekend. Krys is my real life best friend for over 10 years. Well, we were running around in Maj'Dul, Sinking Sands, Pillars of Flame and the Shimmering Citadel. The guild we are in, Essayons , had a raid on Saturday. That was a lot of fun.
