Alchera Project #32 Option 7

This is a repost of an old project that I had taken place in. I miss the Alchera Project. It was really great. Unfortunately, life had slid downhill and I was unable to take place in it for awhile. When I went back again, it was gone. :-( This project was originally done on 3-9-05.

Anyway, here is some info that Laura had written on the site about this particular project.

Explanation of the option from Alchera Project: "I modified the Grab Bag option a bit this time, too. I felt requiring six random words might be too much of a time-consuming challenge with everyone's school and work loads, so while there are still six words, you are required to use only three of them. The three of your choice, actually, which makes the heading "Grab Bag" much more applicable to the actual fulfillment of the project.

Here is what I had written back then:

I was in the process of making a website for an online game that I play, World of Warcraft. For this website, the Guild Master requested that all players create a short biography of their character in the game.

Here is my story.

Wakela's Life

Wakela's past is veiled in mystery. This little gnome was found on a front doorstep with another infant. The woman who found them was Náwien. She lived deep within the forest near a lake that was unusually placid. Very few people ventured out to where she lived.

There were those who reviled her very existence. They felt that she was an evil witch who made pacts with the demons. Because of the way people treated her, she became a misanthropist. She truly was a gentle woman, but she wasn't even allowed into the local temple for fear that her evil would spread.

There were a few others who considered who to be a very capable healer. Some would come to her to relieve them of disease symptoms. Still others came to her for relief of emotional upheavals. She remembers a sad time when a young woman and her friend disappeared on the way to her house. They were never found.

Náwien never had children of her own. She took the two into her home with open arms. She had no idea how these two were dropped on her step. One was a female gnome. The other was a male human. Through the years, she often wondered where their parents were. She was afraid to tell the people in the local township that she found them. She was afraid that they would take the infants away from her. They truly would think that she was the criminal who stole these babies.

Wakela grew to feel as if Náwien was her mother and Reder was her brother. She was trained as a child to follow in Náwien's footsteps. She learned to have healthy competition with Reder. They looked out for each other though. She was saddened the day that Náwien sent them to separate towns. Wakela was sent to Coldridge Valley in order to further her studies. Alamar Grimm in Anvilmar took her under his wing. He sent her off to a cave in order to obtain three feather charms from the Frostmane Novices in order to teach her how to cast her first summon spell.

Her first summon spell was for an imp. He was an impetuous little imp named Jubmir. He was constantly giving Wakela trouble. He would talk back to her and taunt her. He was never truly her minion.

Luckily for her, she stumbled upon a paladin named Jeffario. Since he didn't know who had raised her, he readily accepted her as a worthy ally. They traveled the lands in order to fight the Horde. She always hoped that she would eventually find Reder.

While traveling through the city of Ironforge, she was contacted by Lago Blackwrench. He told her that he had received a message from Gakin the Darkbinder in Stormwind. She had to wonder if they felt that she was finally ready for her next summon spell. She sped ahead of Jeffario to meet with Gakin. Gakin told her about a former student of his. She needed to get a bloodstone choker back from this student. Thankfully, Jeffario caught up with her. They ventured to the farmstead where Surena was last seen. The farmstead was heavily guarded by the Defias bandits.

The two of them had some difficulties getting the necklace. Once this task was accomplished, they rushed back to Gakin. He was thankful that they were able to return the necklace. He said that he heard Wakela was ready for the next summoning spell, but this had been a test. He now knew that she was truly ready to handle a voidwalker. He teaches her how to summon one. However, she would also have to tame it. They went down into the arena and she tamed the voidwalker. His name Zag'mon.

Jeffario told Wakela about his idea of starting a guild named The Brotherhood of the Alliance. He mentioned that he had ran into an old friend of his named Crystalline. They were planning on starting it, but he wanted Wakela to join as well. She quickly signed up. Little did she know that this very guild would bring her back to Reder.
