#OnceUponATime & #Tron

Ok, Ok, I admit it!  I am a massive Oncer!  I can’t get enough of the show. This past week’s show has really got me thinking though.  I am not sure how many people have started picking up on the Once Upon A Time / Tron intertwining in the last episode. First off, let’s start off with the characters. Kurt Flynn is a single father on the Once Upon A Time Show of a young son named Owen Flynn.  Owen’s mom had passed away 6 months prior to the flashback parts of the episode.  Owen left to Wisconsin to live with his uncle after his father’s disappearance. Kevin Flynn is a single father in Tron of a young son named Sam Flynn (played by Owen Best in Tron 2.0: Legacy).  After Kevin’s disappearance, Sam was raised by his grandparents. Now let’s look at the storylines. Both Sam & Owen kept trying to get people to believe that their father’s were still alive.  No one would believe them. Kevin was swept up into a video game in 1989 (a world of advanced science).  Kurt was swept up into Storybro

C is for Crime Dramas

Image
Image via Wikipedia One of my favorite types of TV shows is the crime drama.  I get so involved in watching the mysteries unfold. Of course, my all time favorite is NCIS, with Abby being my favorite character.  I try my best not to miss an episode.  The interaction between Gibbs and his team is incredible.  I have to admit that I like Ziva more then I liked Kate.  I so want a Burt The Hippo.  He is so awesome!!  And why can’t we get a decent cup of Caf-Pow? Another great crime drama is Criminal Minds.  I don’t always get a chance to watch this one when it is on.  So I have the DVR set to record it.   Shemar Moore (the guy who plays Morgan) is HOT!  I loved watching him on Birds of Prey.  What are your favorite shows?

Guided by Angels

Last night was a little bizarre.  Normally, when I log off the computer, I go downstairs and watch a little TV before going to sleep.  I can never go right to sleep because the walk down the stairs always seems to wake me up a little bit.  Anyway, I normally switch back and forth between Nick At Night or the Food Network.  These are usually the only channels that have anything worth watching.  I have gotten to the point that I don't even channel surf anymore. Last night, for some unknown reason, I started channel surfing.  As I was flipping through channels, I was taken aback to see someone I knew on TV.  Flipping through, I passed by a channel where Michelle Whitedove was on.  At first, I thought it was that local show that she used to have.  Actually, she might still have it, I don't really know.  Come to find out it was America's Psychic Challenge.  I had never even heard of that show before.  I first met Michelle in 1998 or 1999.  My mom, my sister B, and I had si

Things that go bump in the night

So I created a facebook account finally. My cousins and a bunch of other family members had accounts already. Its nice and easy for me to keep track of family in other countries because of it. Tonight at work was really bizarre. First off, Z kept talking about her brazilian wax that she had done today. She went into detail about how they do them. Umm... All I have to say is OUCH!! Later, CM and AR heard scurrying noises in the ceiling. Yikes! I don't think I want to know what was making that noise. At least the lights in the parking lot were working tonight. It would have been a bad thing if they were still out. I hate walking out in the dark like that. Tonight was a great episode of NCIS. I can't believe that Gibbs almost died. I am glad that he didn't though. I did go to the website and check out what was in the time capsule though. That was interesting. They really went into a lot of detail on that. I really should go see my doctor. I have been having alot

Next Iron Chef

Image
I was all psyched up and ready to watch The Next Iron Chef tonight. I really wanted Aaron Sanchez to win. He is a great cook and he is very good looking. Ok, so I have a thing for hispanic men! LOL! Anyway, I was saddened to see him leave. Out of all the people, he should not have left. Heck, Chef Cosentino was annoying tonight. He was being nasty to the camera guys. I mean really, they are just doing their job. He agreed to let the cameras be there when he signed up to be on the show.

Ex-File

Everyone knows what its like to come face to face with one of your ex's while standing there with your current girlfriend or boyfriend. Well, poor Agent Gibbs on NCIS had worse troubles then that last night. The episode was called Ex-File for a reason. As any loyal fan knows, Gibbs had a fling with his boss Director Jenny Shepard years ago. Also Gibbs has been married four times previously. Gibbs is also currently dating Lt. Col. Hollis Mann. Here is where things get sticky. A Marine was found dead on an army base. This puts the murder in the jurisdiction of Lt. Col. Mann. However, since its a marine, Gibbs has to investigate as well. This means that he has to work with his current girlfriend on a case. The marine (Mr. Reynolds) was found by his wife (Mrs. Reynolds) and Stephanie (Gibb's 3rd wife). As the show goes on, we find out that Stephanie is also dating one of the main suspects in the case. Things totally get out of hand. Mann is interviewing Stephanie, she s

To Joost or not To Joost

Image
The other day I literally stumbled upon a great new service on the internet called Joost. My mouth was salivating as I watched the promo video. I couldn't wait to download it. This was internet TV at its easiest. I just needed to get my hands on that program and I would be watching away. I quickly found the download page. I wanted to cry at what I saw. It wasn't fair. I had to get an invite from someone who was already using the service. It is still in beta testing and they don't want everyone to have it yet. I felt like Willy Wonka on his search for the golden ticket. I was going from site to site. There had to be someone out there with extra invites that was willing to send me one. Finally, I found one. I couldn't believe it. Could I really get this lucky? Well, now that I am finally hooked up and happily watching, I am willing to send out invites to anyone that wants one. You just need to leave me an email address. You won't believe some of the things you can wat
Ok so I am really sad that tonight is the last episode ever of Charmed!!

The Newness of Everything

Well, Krys just got her new computer yesterday. She is still trying to get everything set back up on it & configured that way that she likes it. I just can't wait until she can get back into EQ2. It sucks that SOE messed the game up so that no one with Win98 or WinME can log in. They keep saying that they are trying to fix it, but it has been a few weeks now. That is just insane. I ordered my new cell phone. I should have it on Tuesday. I found out that it was cheaper for me to order over the internet then to go to the store. I wasn't even charged shipping and handling. I am saving about $60. Plus there is a $20 rebate once I get the phone. So that is a HUGE savings. The choice was for a new cell phone & get rid of the crap I have or an additional RAM chip for my puter. I decided that the cell phone was the more important of the two. I can't wait. Grr!! I have been having a lot of problems sleeping lately. I get really tired all of a sudden, sleep for

Charmed

I can't believe that there is only one more episode of Charmed left. It just seemed like one of those shows that will go on forever. Ok, so besides game shows like Wheel of Fortune & stuff like that, no show goes on forever. Except in reruns. Anyway, I am not sure how I feel about the way last night's episode ended last night. Since next week is the last episode, they technically don't have to put a bandaid on the situation to make everything better. I would hope that they would. ----------- Spoiler --------------- For those of you who missed last night & don't want to know what happened until you see the beginning of next week, don't read any further. First off, Billie has had more then enough clues given to her that something is not right with her sister. I know she is blonde, but come on! She is being stupid. Secondly, why didn't the sisters' father call for coop when he saw that Wyatt was missing? I know that he doesn't want anyone m
