Book Description   Kurt Robbins always wondered where ideas came from. Then he found out. . . . Kurt Robbins just finished his first novel and his editor loves it. The only problem is that six other writers submitted the same manuscript, word for word. Is Kurt a plagiarizer, or had something or someone seeded his mind with the idea? Memeticist Ursula Stevens is Kurt’s only hope in finding out the truth. While being chased by an unknown government agency, Kurt and Ursula search out the other authors, hoping to figure out who infected them, and why, day by day, Kurt’s intelligence is growing by leaps and bounds. Book Review   This book captivated me from the beginning.  I have always been fascinated with how authors get their ideas.  And this book takes a very science fiction look at that and how these ideas sometimes overlap without even meaning to. The action is intense.  I really loved the character Ursula the best.  But all the characters were well written. If you l

John Carter

So this past Monday, I got to go watch John Carter in 3D!!!!  It was supposed to be me, my friend Krysta, and our friend Pat.  However, Pat couldn’t make it back into town in time. Anyway, I had to wait until today (launch day for the movie) before I could post this.  I have been dying to post it since I walked out of the theater!!  The movie theater was packed. Not only did it stand up to it, it outshone it too!  The actors that they chose to play the various parts were excellent choices.  The guy that played John Carter (Taylor Kitsch) is a gorgeous hunk that knows how to act well. On a trip to the mall with his wife, he finds a small metal cylinder with odd markings. One nudge of the cylinder's triangle-shaped pointer and Roy finds himself embarking on an exciting new adventure in the Time Stream. There he meets The Traveler, a tall, gangly being who shows Roy how to use the cylinder to visit other civilizations that co-exist on "his" Earth, each occupying a different, thin Time Slice. The Traveler solicits Roy's help in recovering an object invented by his murdered father and beyond his own reach. Roy is his last hope. At first it seems that the Traveler's wish might be easily granted. But after Roy's wife Emily becomes ill and his daughter's long-held resentments rise to the surface, he can no longer "travel" at a moment's notice. He also disco

Blackmailed into helping Commander Kell Frayne infiltrate a treacherous corner of the galaxy, Mara learns that her biggest danger is from her sexy, by-the-book partner. She’s a loner with more than a few battle scars on her heart, but something about Commander Frayne stirs up her long-buried need for an intimate connection. An ace pilot for the elite Black Wraith Squadron, Kell’s mission is to rescue a lost pilot and ship. Unable to deny his attraction to the beautiful, rebellious woman, he decides bedding her would cool his ardor.
