Earth Blessings

Image
Description We can see from the floods, earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions and pollution disasters that our earth is disturbed. Not to mention the political upheaval that blights the planet. However, the Earth herself has given us tools that assist in stabilizing the situation and which teach us how to turn our thoughts and actions towards positive healing for the planet rather than envisaging her destruction. Crystals offer us creative solutions. Some amazing high-vibration crystals have made themselves known at this time to assist with Earth healing and with personal consciousness-raising. Other Earth healing crystals have been around for millennia but still do a sterling job of restoring the environment and the earth beneath our feet to optimum energetic functioning.   Review As both a spiritual teacher and an energetic healer, I was really intrigued by this book.  I have always been interested in crystals, but felt intimidated by all the information out there.  It

Chakra Wisdom Oracle Toolkit

Image
Description The Chakra Wisdom Oracle Toolkit guides you in opening up your intuition, removing blockages from your life, improving your relationships and realizing your highest potential. Here is the full text of the fables that were revealed by angels to the popular intuitive Tori Hartman and then lost for two decades. Week by week, you will explore the 49 fables, beginning with "Renewal" - the fable of Geranium, which promises a new beginning. This standalone book can also be used in conjunction with the Chakra Wisdom Oracle Cards, a divinatory deck of 49 cards, each one representing one of the fables. Each fable is associated with one of the major chakras and has its own shade of colour (Geranium Red, for example) and a fairy-tale illustration; the visuals add extra layers of meaning to the words of the fable. There are five days of activity per week, each requiring just 10-20 minutes. On Monday, you read the fable and set your intention for the week. On Tuesd

Lost in Translation

Image
Description An artistic collection of more than 50 drawings featuring unique, funny, and poignant foreign words that have no direct translation into English. Did you know that the Japanese language has a word to express the way sunlight filters through the leaves of trees? Or that there's a Finnish word for the distance a reindeer can travel before needing to rest?  Lost in Translation brings to life more than fifty words that don't have direct English translations with charming illustrations of their tender, poignant, and humorous definitions. Often these words provide insight into the cultures they come from, such as the Brazilian Portuguese word for running your fingers through a lover's hair, the Italian word for being moved to tears by a story, or the Swedish word for a third cup of coffee. In this clever and beautifully rendered exploration of the subtleties of communication, you'll find new ways to express yourself while getting lost in the

Now, with The Alpine Zen, Mary Daheim has at last reached the anticipated letter of Z . Her legion of avid armchair sleuths will relish this deliciously gripping novel. As an early summer heat wave beats down on Alpine, Emma and her staff are treading very lightly. For unfathomable reasons, the paper's House & Home editor, Vida Runkel, is in a major snit, refusing to speak to her colleagues, or even her boss. So when a peculiar young woman walks in claiming her parents have been murdered, and that she's in mortal danger, too, it fits right in with the rest of the craziness. Then, to the utter bafflement of her colleagues, Vida vanishes without a word to anyone. And just when Emma and her husband, Sheriff Milo Dodge, start to unsnarl these tangles, a m
