This kit was an easy to use, fun way to teach the kids about plants.  Almost everything you need is included with the kit.  The only thing you need to supply is water and sunlight.  Of course, you want to make sure that you do this in an area where you don’t mind a little mess.  We spread out an old table cloth on the floor while we were working on this.  That way, we didn’t have to worry about water spilling on the floor or dirt getting anywhere. 

All the materials are made of a thick recycled plastic.  There isn’t any chances of your child getting hurt on the parts.  The instructions are extremely easy to follow.  Basically, you take the round dirt disks and put one in each pot.  Then you put some water in each pot and let it sit for about half an hour.  Then you mix it around with the shovel and pop the seeds in.  Make sure that the plants are in a place where they will get adequate sunlight. 

There are seeds for three different types of plants included in the kit.  So you have the opportunity to grow different things.  In fact, one packet has basil seeds.  What better way to teach your child about living a green life, then showing how to grow and use your own herbs.
