Book Description

 

Twins Griffin and Donovan Kirkwood, descendants of the Pendragon, are bound to protect Elizabethan England. Griffin becomes a priest in France. Roanna Douglas, descended from Nimue and holding a personal grudge against the Kirkwoods, journeys to France to summon Tryblith, the Demon of Chaos. What a great book!  I can’t believe this great series has been around since 2002 and I am just now finding out about it.  This is actually the third book in the series, but it is the first one that I have read.

I love the fact that the characters aren’t one sided.  Everyone is composed of shades of grey.  No one person is completely good or evil.  It’s hard to pick just one person to really root for in this book.  And since everyone has the ability to do either good or evil, you never can tell how a character is going to react in a situation until the situation comes up.

This book definitely kept me on my toes and kept me wanting more!  I have to track down the first 2 books in the series and see what else this author has written as well.
