Review - His Lordship Possessed

Disclaimer:  I received this book free from Simon & Schuster in exchange for an honest review.  I did not receive any form of compensation.

You may remember that I reviewed the first book in this series on August 11, 2013.  I couldn't wait to find out more about this interesting tale.  Thankfully, I didn't have to wait too long.  I had been approved to read this one right away.  So I basically got to read the two books back to back.  However, I held my review for a time closer to the release of the book.

This book picks up with Charm being held captive by Lucien in his mansion.  There is a guard at the door and Lucien has gone into town.  At first, she doesn't think that there is any means of escape.  However, she soon remembers that she can call on her grandfather's spirit.  Because if anyone can get her out of this situation, it is definitely Harry Houdini.

You know how when you are craving chocolate and are able to get your hands on the best tasting chocolate around?  That deep satisfaction of getting your yearning sated?  Reading book two in this series was exactly that for me.  It answered the questions that had been gnawing away at me at the end of book one.

The things that we learned about Harry really blew my mind.  I hadn't expected that HUGE twist at all.  I can guarantee it will blow you away as well.

Even though the cliff hanger from book one was resolved in book two, I really hope that Lynn Viehl plans on writing more with these characters.  There is so much more that she can do with them and they are so loveable.

This book really can't be read as a stand alone book because it is extremely dependent on knowing what occurred in book one.  I highly suggest getting both books and reading them.  You won't regret it in the least bit.  In fact, I think you might just find one of your new favorite authors.
