This book is actually an entire series rolled into one. There are 3 full length stories and 2 novella length.

I had really high hopes for this book. I love fantasy lit, but this just didn't flow right for me.

I felt like things were missing or that things were thrown in as an after thought. Sort of like an important conversation took place but instead of "seeing" the conversation through the readers eyes, you are just told that it happened. Sort of like an "oh by the way" moment. I would have rather have "witnessed" the conversation happening. There were too many of these types of events throughout for my taste.

Plus it seemed that the story line just sort of hopped around. It became difficult to follow and I ended up having to go back and reread sections to see if I had missed something somehow.

There was a lot of potential with this book. It just didn't hit the mark though.
