Review–A Study in Silks

Disclaimer: I received this book free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I did not receive any form of compensation.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book.  It is the first in a series.

I absolutely loved all the characters.  I would have loved to hang out with Eveline.  Can you imagine being raised in a circus?  That is just wild.  But then after living on the road for all that time finding out that you have a noble side to your family.  It would be difficult to bring the two aspects of yourself together to actually fit.  How do you bring yourself to live as a respectable lady of society when you have been around the circus all your life?  Eveline struggles with this as I know that I would have.

Not only is she having to learn to reconcile the two vastly different aspects of her life, but now someone has been murdered and it is up to Eveline to figure out who is the killer.

This was a wonderfully written piece of steam punk.  I can’t wait for the next book to come out.  But thankfully I won’t have to wait long since I have that one to review as well.
