Review–Choices and Illusions

Disclaimer: I received this book free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I did not receive any form of compensation.

This book demonstrates the power of the mind.  There are times in our lives when we think we see something.  When in actuality what we perceive is not real at all.  Plus our minds can trick our bodies into doing things.  A perfect example of this would be the placebo effect.  This is where a patient is given a placebo (usually a sugar tablet) and told that it is a cutting edge cure.  The patient then believes so much in this new cure that it actually works.

Once we understand the power of our mind, we can then harness this to change the outcome of our lives.  The author gives numerous examples and means of doing this.

The book normally comes with a free CD.  However, the copy provided through NetGalley does not.  Therefore, I can not comment on the effectiveness of the CD.  However, the author does have a few free downloads on his site that I listened to.  I really liked the recording for releasing fear.  The only downside to downloading these sample audios is that you must provide your phone number.  I have never liked doing this.  Very few people have my phone number and I prefer it that way.

All-in-all this was a great book that provides information on how to change your life and your belief patterns.
