Review–The Banshees

Disclaimer: I received this book free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I did not receive any form of compensation.

This book led me through history as Irish American Women gained acceptance and fought for their rights.  I hadn’t known some of the roles that these women played in our history.

The book takes us through the early 1900s (when my Irish great grandfather and two of his siblings came over to America) up through today.  It was truly amazing how these women dared to push the envelope with their writing.

Don’t expect any amusing prose in this book.  It is a straight-forward history lesson on the role that Irish American Women Writers played.  However, if you have a real thirst for knowledge, then this book will definitely give you tons.
