By using the practices described within, you can learn to manage chronic pain resulting from illness and/or stress related disorders…discover the roles that anger and tension play in heart disease… reduce anxiety and feelings of panic…improve overall quality of life and relationships through mindfulness meditation and mindful yoga. More timely than ever before, Full Catastrophe Living is a book for the young and the old, the well, the ill, and anyone trying to live a healthier and saner life in today’s world.

Review

Many of you who have been reading my blog for awhile know that I have many serious health issues.  So I am always looking for ways to help supplement traditional medicine in order to make getting through the day much easier.  Thankfully, I found this book.

It originally was released in 1990.  Back then, physically I was fine but mentally I wasn't.  However, I wasn't in the mental space to attempt anything like this.  Now with the re-release and updating of this book, I am at a point in my life where I graciously accept the teachings that have been presented.

There were a number of techniques that were presented that I had already heard previously.  However, they were also a number that really helped to tie in key components for me.  I for one have been feeling better since starting this program.  Now whether or not this is the placebo effect or not, only time will tell.

If you have chronic pain that medicines just aren't helping with or other issues that you just need to be able to "overlook" in order to make it through the day, then I suggest reading this book.

Disclaimer: I received this book free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I did not receive any form of compensation.
