Review

Most books that I have read about using Feng Shui to transform the energy in the home have been extremely complicated and confusing. I really loved this book. It was very easy to read, understand, and incorporate into my home.

The book is broken down into chapters about the house in general, each room separately, then the parts of the structure (plumbing, electrical, etc) and finally into potential problems (roaches, ants & other pests).

The section that talks about totem animals not only encourages you to use the Chinese totems most commonly found in Feng Shui, but also to incorporate totems from other spiritualities. The author even references Ted Andrews's book titled Animal-Speak: The Spiritual and Magical Powers of Creatures Great and Small. I have loved that book for a long time and often use it when looking up information on Native American totem animals.

Another thing that I find interesting is that this book is handy to have whether you are just now starting to look for a new place to live (as it gives tips on what to look for in order to start out harmoniously) or are already living in a place and are looking to help diminish some of the negative energy in the location that you are at.

I think that the best part of the book is the quick reference in the back. If you have a specific problem or area that you want to fix, you can flip back there and get some insights into the meaning of that problem or area.

Any book bought through the Amazon link below will have a portion of the sale go towards the Unitarian Fellowship of South Florida.
