As part of a healthier start to the new year, we tried hemp hearts.  I only received a small sample of them.  So I got to have one try. 

I absolutely loved the hemp hearts that I received.  I only had a chance to try them one way though.  I sprinkled them on salads.  They gave a nice crunch to the salad.  The taste was light and pleasant.  Almost nutty in flavor.  I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I ate them.  I am definitely glad I tried them.  We will be buying more.
