Book Description

 

Anna Larson's daughter, Lauren, is confused, brokenhearted, and misguided. It's the turbulent 1960s and feeling alienated from her mother, Lauren chooses to stay with her paternal grandmother. However, repelled by the woman's manipulative and spiteful ways, Lauren returns to her mother, the river, and the Inn at Shining Waters.

Book Review

 

You may recall that it was fairly recently that I reviewed the first book in this series, River’s Song.  This book picks up where the last one left off.

However, even though I did read the first book prior to reading this one, I honestly feel that you can read them as stand alone books as well.  But I really suggest reading them in order.  You will definitely get much more enjoyment out of them.

The story is compelling and I loved revisiting all the characters that I fell in love with from the first book.  I certainly hope that she is planning on writing more in this series.  I want to find out what else happens to Anna and Lauren.
